Today we had our first business meeting and presentation of 2022! Even with the possibility of holiday traveling and chaos, we still had a great turnout of around 25 people in attendance. We were able to induct our slate of officers, with the assistance of Linda Christensen (thanks Linda!).
After our shorter business meeting with heard from our own SVEA member Marti Matthews, who presented on “A Mystery – The Life and Paintings of Carl Larsson.” Marti guided us through some of Carl’s paintings and his style, and then spoke to us about his complicated and often dark upbringing. Marti closed by reading to us from Carl’s autobiography “Jag”. Carl’s wife, Karin, is quoted as saying that the book encloses the “saga of a very human being.”
