This year started with a BANG, or rather, SNOW! The Indianapolis area received 7-10 inches of snow on Sunday into Monday, so we moved our meeting online. Luckily, our members are very adaptable and we had 30 folks show up on Zoom for our business meeting and cultural program! It was like riding a back again after doing it this way during the pandemic.
We initiated our officers for 2025, received the Secretary and Treasurer's reports and talked about this year's upcoming cultural programs! We then had a great presentation by return guest Pat Olski, who taught us all about embroidery from different parts of Sweden. It was a fascinating program with clearly a lot of research behind it. We thank Pat for her time and dedication to this subject!
We'll see everyone IN PERSON on Sunday, February 2 at 2:30pm for another great cultural program. Virtual guests Ã…sa and Chris from the podcast A Flatpack History of Sweden will join us to talk about their podcast and teach us the history of common symbols of Sweden.
