November: Julbord History & Lucia Preparations

This month we had 18 kids, 11 parents and 7 staff members participate in our SVEA Skolan (Children's Club) gathering! There was a lot of preparation for Lucia, as the kids were fitted for and given their robes, as well as practiced their songs with John and Annette. Ingrid W., Ingrid C. and Carin also helped the kids bake and decorate pepparkakor!

We had about 35 folks attend our meeting and cultural program as well! This was our last business meeting and cultural program of the year, and we went out with a fantastic program by Richard Tellström, a virtual guest from Sweden, who presented about the history and changes of the Swedish Julbord across Sweden and the United States. Everyone loved it!

Our next regular business meeting is on Sunday, January 4. Ingrid and Marissa Childs will present about their stay at the Ice Hotel in Sweden.
