October: Kanelbullar & Mythology

This past Sunday our Children's Club and our membership gathered for a fun and informative afternoon of Swedish culture and food!

Our Children's Club did a language lesson after practicing the songs for our upcoming Lucia celebration. They also enjoyed eating and learning about kanelbullar for National Kanelbullar Day!

Before our cultural program, Grace Spencer presented about her experience at the Swedish language camp this summer. Then we learned about the sources and stories of Nordic mythology from member David Miller! Finally, the adults got to also enjoy kanelbullar (and many other tasty items) at our fika.

Our last meeting of the year (apart from Lucia) will be Sunday, November 2. Children's Club starts at 1pm, business meeting at 2:30 followed by the cultural program.
