On Saturday, June 26, 2021 we gathered for the first time in person in 16 MONTHS!! How fun it was to celebrate Midsommar with 87 of our fellow SVEA members, community members, friends and family. While it was a bit muggy, there was a nice breeze that enabled us to spend the entire afternoon outside, enjoying the midsummer day. We were entertained by Scandelocity's beautiful music and all joined in dancing around the maypole with Dans Norden. Our boxed lunches were catered by Cloud 9 Catering from Noblesville, and consisted of salmon balls with lingonberry sauce, creamy dill potato salad, beet and cucumber salad, boiled egg and almond cake. It was delicious and so Swedish! We closed out the day with a group singalong and the kids breaking open a bee piñata to get Daim candy! What a fun day.
